The Weekend, purveyors of pop-anthem tunes, are a London, Ontario based band, comprised of Andrea Wasse (singer/songwriter), Lincoln Cushman (keyboards), Ryan Ford (guitar), Randie Van Gorp (bass) and Jason Pierce (drums). The band followed up their 2000 self-titled debut album five years later with Beatbox My Heart which included the singles "Into The Morning" and "There Goes My Heart." Producers John Wozniak (Marcy Playground) and Dave Ogilvie (NIN, Sloan, Jackalope) contributed to the albums' creation.
In addition to Beatbox My Heart, the band has contributed songs to several soundtracks such as Freaky Friday ("Me vs. the World") and Uptown Girls ("Victory"). The Weekend have opened for a variety of acts including Weezer, Green Day, Dashboard Confessional, The Get-Up Kids and At the Drive-In.
